Comfortgel nasal ~V~ Comfortgel BLUE

I've been using the "original" Comfortgel nasal mask as my mask of choice for the past two years, and have had a love affair with it!
That love affair is now OVER!
The new love of my life is the "new" Comfortgel BLUE nasal mask!!!!

I had ordered a replacement "original" Comfortgel from my DME, but, they sent me the "new" Comfortgel BLUE by mistake. Upon first inspection, I didn't like the placement of the vent, and planned on sending it right back to get the right mask. Then I noticed that they changed the forehead pad slightly from the original, and it felt more comfortable in my hand. That, caught my interest! I decided to try it on and see if it WAS more comfortable.
I try to try it on with the plastic cover still on the cushion, because if I was going to send it back, I didn't want to have had my nose inside the cushion. Well, as you can imagine, that didn't work! I had to remove the plastic cover and try the mask on the right way.
I try the mask on, and yes in fact, the forehead pad IS much more comfortable than the original, BUT.....................I all but forgot about the forehead pad when I felt how much MORE comfortable the cushion was!!!!

I took the mask off and did a closer inspection of the cushion, which I thought was the exact same as the original. Boy was I wrong!!!
On the "original" cushion, there's a thin "lip" on the blue cushion, that ISN'T there on the BLUE mask's blue cushion. The "new" BLUE mask's cushion is completely smooth, soft, and pliable! There is a WORLD of difference between the two. The BLUE, being oh so MUCH better!

Everyone's face is different, and everyone has their own favorite mask. I'm not trying to change your opinions, if your mask works for you, more power to you. BUT....if, like me, you've been in LOVE with your "original" Comfortgel nasal mask, you really, REALLY, REALLY, owe it to yourself to give the "new" Comfortgel BLUE a try.
You won't believe the difference, and will be HAPPY you gave it a try!!!!!!!!!!!!!
