Re: Upload graphs
How to insert image/report. I find screenshots are the easiest for me.
Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 has the snipping tool.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a photo hosting site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others you can use.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button.
If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.
To take a screenshot on the Mac, hold CMD+SHIFT+4
Click and hold on the upper-left corner of the area you want to capture
Drag to the lower-right corner and release
The screenshot will show up on your desktop.
Open the image to full size so it is easily read.

Re: Upload graphs
Did you get graphs from your DME showing your data?
I ask because in a previous thread you said that the software or your machine was not in the budget yet so apparently you don't have software yet.
Without printouts of your data from you DME or data from software you won't have the images to post here that we would like to see to help you.
Just wanting to check on that. I don't think you mentioned that you had printouts from your DME.

We found something that would fit Katy's budget. The software fairy helped out.Hawthorne wrote: I ask because in a previous thread you said that the software or your machine was not in the budget yet so apparently you don't have software yet.

Re: Upload graphs
Thanks both of you. This is something I'll work on tomorrow. I'd love to know what all this means. I've got the graphs and detailed reports, just need to make images, upload to flickr, yadda yadda... It's time for bed!

I use XP on my laptop. Where can I find the snipping tool?

Re: Upload graphs
Windows XP did not have Snipping tool. The snipping tool was first offered on Vista.NotSleepingBeauty wrote:I use XP on my laptop. Where can I find the snipping tool?
When I had XP computer I had to use the Prt/scr key...paste to Paint..crop and edit...then save.
You might find it easier to use a little screen imaging program. There are several available for free.
Any Photo editing program will also allow for managing of screen shots.

Re: Upload graphs
Anyone reading this and wondering about uploading graphs/reports for forum member comments these are my standard instructions. First part deals with obtaining screen shots and second part about uploading to photo host site.
The Snipping Tool is a screen capture tool available on most Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.
Windows XP and older didn't have this little tool and getting a screen shot involved a little more work using the prt/scr key and Paint...so often other screen capture programs were used that were less work.
This is how I do it..there are other ways..I just find this less work for me.
Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.
