Backing up ResScan data and reloading it?

Post by prefer2breathe » Tue Nov 30, 2010 6:26 pm

My wife has to do a system restore on our computer. If she copies the ResScan folders and files onto a flash drive, is there a way my data can be loaded back on when we reinstall everything on the computer?

Yes. There is nothing difficult about ResScan data, so just copy them onto a thumb drive, CD, another card, or... After rebuilding the computer -- bummer! -- just transfer them back to the hard drive. Easy as pi.

System restore will not do anything with data files, they are fine where they are, reformatting will remove everything from the entire hard drive! john
