I've just gotten a system one cpap at auction and figuring it out. I have a few questions maybe others here know the answers to -
It didn't come with an SD card in it, so I stuck in a 1gb card and the machine seemed happy to format it. Is that large enough? I assume so, unless it does animations.
It asks for the "resistance" of my mask - which is an ultra mirage II nasal mask. I have no idea what the setting should be for that. Any ideas?
many thanks!

System One settings
Re: System One settings
For nasal and for full face mask it's X1
For nasal pillows it depends on the size and type of the pillows but for medium size it is in general X2. The rule is the more restriction your mask gives to the air the higher the X need to be set.
You need to go to the Respironics site or make a research here in the forum (somebody posted the resistances table long ago), and find the table for rsistance values.
Some people let it at X1 always an seems to be happy, me I change it when I change masks.

Re: System One settings
Here is the chart:

The cards that come in the System One machines are 2G but that will store a pretty good bit of data. 1 will probably be fine for now. You can always upgrade later since the machine stores the data. When you swap out all of the data will be copied to the new card.

Re: System One settings
Thank you for posting the Respironics Mask Setting Table. I called a Cpap supplier for the correct setting on an Optilife medium
and was told I needed 5X. Now I can see there isn't any such thing ! Will adjust to correct 2X. Anxious to see if it makes any difference.
I'm still struggling to get AHI's below 5.5.
Thanks to all for the "newbie" help.

Re: System One settings
Thanks - appreciate that. Looks like X2! But others say it does nothing? I'll try it anyway.
