S9 data
S9 data
Why didn't the S9 give me the detail pages today. It also didn't show on the stats page my oxy/pulse results. Tried a second download and nothing. Could a Resmed data card go bad that fast or could it be the S9? This was an exchanged unit cause my first one in March did funny things.

Re: S9 data
We have seen some issues where the memory card has gone bad and does not record properly, but unless you send your machine in its hard to know for sure.
Good Luck,

Re: S9 data
Your memory card probably needs reformatting.
I think any high frequency data not downloaded will be lost, all the other data is stored in the machine and will be transferred back to the card after reformatting.
I now reformat my card after every download.

Re: S9 data
Before letting the S9 erase and reformat the SD card, there are several things that you might try:
1) Make sure that "Download All Data" is selected inside of ResScan before you do the download. The default setting is "Download summary data".
2) Copy the files on the SD to a computer and then copy them to another SD card. See if ResScan can download all the data from the new SD card.
3) If the card is corrupt, the S9 may very well be just fine. Try putting a new SD (not an SDHD) card into the S9 and see if S9 starts recording all the detailed data again.
Good luck

Hi,
I read your reply again. Working guess something happened how the card was placed in the computer. As far as those details on that one day don't think I can recover it.

Re: S9 data
terio,
I find that if I put my S9's SD card in one computer at home, the S9 won't recognize it for some reason. But if I use a different computer to look at the SD card, there's no problem.
Unfortunately, the computer with ResScan is the one that somehow "corrupts" the SD card as far as the S9 is concerned.
So here's my work around: I download the data onto the computer that doesn't corrupt the SD card and put the SD card back into the S9. Then I put a *different* generic SD card into the computer with the data and copy the data to the second SD card. When I put that second SD card into the computer with ResScan, ResScan downloads the data just fine from the SD card.
The major advantage of this silly two-card system: I've got back up copies of *all* my data on a different machine in case something happens to the hard drive of the PC with ResScan on it.
Good luck!

Re: S9 data
Always LOCK / read-only the SD card when reading it. You don't need it unlocked in the PC.

Re: S9 data
You are so correct Roman! Making the card read-only by locking it before insertion into the slot is the only safe way to go. Do you have an IT background?
Never, never, never, never say never

Yes! Very True.... Just DON'T forget to Unlock it before placing it back into the S9

Re: S9 data
OK. I'll be getting my 1st machine soon, I'm asking my Doc to get a S9 Auto for me? How do I get the software? Is it on a Cd? Or, can it be downloaded somewhere? Once I get it, how do I learn to interpret and read the results?robysue wrote:Before letting the S9 erase and reformat the SD card, there are several things that you might try:

Re: S9 data
You're not supposed to get it, learn it, and interpret it. At least that's what the med professionals and Resmed would say. As a patient you're probably not capable of such things. After all that's why the pros have gone to med school.Wonka wrote: OK. I'll be getting my 1st machine soon, I'm asking my Doc to get a S9 Auto for me? How do I get the software? Is it on a Cd? That being said, and acknowledging that kind of attitude is BS, here's what I did. Look at some posts by Uncle_Bob. You'll discreetly find your first answer that way. The clinician's manual ain't the greatest so you'll have to learn somewhat by trial and error. There's also lots of helpful comments scattered throughout the forum here. For definitions and learning what the various charts represent you can find answers on cpaphelp.com and by Googling. That's what I did. The link to Resscan is discreetly posted as Resmed does not sanction its release to patients. I kind of think they turn a blind eye toward patient users though, since the link is to an unpublished but publicly retrievable file on their servers.
