ResScan for Mac

Post by OKCCowboy » Sat Aug 21, 2010 11:09 am

Has anyone seen/heard of a program that will run natively on the Mac that will read the data from a Resmed system?

Thanks
John

You would need to install Parallels to run Windows on your Mac. Then you can use the PC software.

I understand that, I actually run VMFusion but I was just hoping for a native mac program.

Yeah, I hear ya.... I've been a Mac always since the early 80's. Unfortunately, as it is with so many proprietary pieces of software, they make it for the majority user and largest share of the market, hence, PC only It is something we Mac users are accustomed to. I have a PC netbook that I will use for my Intellipap software.

If these companies ever decide that cpapers should have an active role in their therapy, they could reach everyone by having a web/cloud based universal system to which users log in and upload their data for review via a secure, personal account. We can all hold our collective breath whilst awaiting that!

Yeah, it's too bad they don't want us involved in our own therapy.

Bootcamp is better than Parallels for the Intel side of things... it was a snap to set up.

Thanks Julie. That answers the question that I was just going to ask.

VmWare 3.1 & WinXP will work perfectly fine with ResScan 3.1. Don't have to reboot each time you want to cross to the dark side....can swap btw OS on the fly.

In fact, I use maybe 3 apps - ResScan 3.1., Quicken for Windows, and I forgot the 3rd

Bootcamp still requires also having the Windows OS.
