Hi,
I used to post on this site a long time ago, but with everyone's help I felt comfortable enough to not have to ask any questions. Now I am back with new ones! I have been succesfully using the Remstar Pro 2 for the past several years with a pressure that I manually set myelf at 9.5. It has worked out really well.
Today, I just received a Resmed Escape II due to new insurance, and the DME said it is better than my old machine, which I am quite partial to. Has EPR and they compared it to CFlex? Anyway, they set my pressure at 8 and I would suffocate at that pressure, so I tried setting it myself to the 9.5 but am having trouble breathing at that pressure (I can only set it on 9.4, if I am doing it right).
Would someone be able to send me via email or a link the clinical manual? Also, why am I having more trouble trying to breathe with this machine?
Any help appreciated!
Resmed Escape II Clinician Manual an questions?
Re: Resmed Escape II Clinician Manual an questions?
resmed uses steps of .2, respironics uses .5 so getting 9.5 on a resmed machine won't happen
there is no data on this machine - the Pro 2 did have data via the card

Sorry, Not sure what you mean? I have a data card with it.
Does anyone actually have the machine and how do you like it? I am wondering why the setting of 9.4 seems harder to breathe that the Remstar with a setting of 9.5.
Thanks!

the escape reports hours of compliance - yes there is a card - it is like the m series plus - no data on AHI, leaks etc. --- hours of use is all --------
Re: Resmed Escape II Clinician Manual an questions?
what version EP do you have or do you use E Viewer?
Re: Resmed Escape II Clinician Manual an questions?
I don't plan on using the card at all. I have been on cpap for enough years that I don't feel the necessity. I actually haven't used the card reader on my Remstar Pro 2 for several years either.
I was just wanting a clinical manual for ease of setup so that I didn't have to keep pushing buttons to get to the pressure setting. It is a ResMed S8 Escape II EPR and that's about all I know about it, other that I like the compact size. Sorry!

Re: Resmed Escape II Clinician Manual an questions?
Thought I would refresh this post. Can anyone provide a clinician manual for this machine?
Thanks!
Thanks!
