I have seen some serious threads posted that got lost in much self serving banter and some serious posts by individuals go largely ignored. Is there a click that exists or some sort of initiation you have to go through. I do not see equal treatment here!!!

Don't feel ignored! There are plenty of helpful, nice people here!

It would help, though, if you created an account so you're not posting with random names each time, and we can get to know you. Also, make sure to fill in your equipment information on your profile so we know what your problems are likely referring to.

Welcome to the forum,
F

You think we are all commies or something - equal treatment indeed.

This is a forum of people with OSA using cpap. We help each other but there is no obligation to do anything. We do not exist just for you.

Yes it exist to serve us - it is self serving. Banter is at least as important in healing as drugs. If we can't laugh at ourselves and our issues, who can?

I don't want to state the obvious here, but are you logged in? It certainly doesn't look like it right now...

Well......if they were by someone else......did YOU reply to the posts?

Would you like to log in and give us the links to those threads that were "ignored"?

I also replied to your "???" post. Was THAT a "serious" one?

This is an online forum. It is rather loosely moderated if I can say that mildly. We have people from all walks of lives here - a few techs, a few lay experts, and lots of people who want to help others even if it is just a little hand holding for moral support. There is no requirement here that anyone has to answer any thread and so sometimes there are thread with no responses and many times threads do get hijacked.

I believe I have seen a few of your posts but am not sure. One thing I do know if that if you start your own thread and include the data reports from the software for your machine, include your mask machine pressure information (and anything else that might help) you will get some responses. Putting a few sentences in someone else's thread on what you want help on isn't going to get a good turnout of readers and helpers. Be sure to give your thread a good title to draw the best audience you can.

If you have other medical conditions list them; the assumption here is that for the most part people have "garden variety OSA" and no medical complications. Also make sure that you understand this is not FREE medical advice and any changes you make in your treatment should be taken at your own risk and in many cases you should check ideas with your medical providers.

People are here to help others yes. Get off to a good start by starting your own thread with your information and include the software graphs (and if you don't know how to get them in the thread, well ask away or search the board as directions have been posted many times - a few by me even).

Hose (aka cotech50) if you feel a thread is in need of attetion -- anyone's thread -- go to it, try to reply, and write "bump". That pushes the thread up to the beginning of the list, for people who may have missed it.

Also, it isn't very necessary for you to start 2 threads on the same subect -- the raising of your pressure from 11 to 14. If you stick to one thread, people will find it easier to keep track of what is going on with you, and to figure out what it is that you want to know.

jules suggestions are right on.

O.

If you are having trouble logging in, it's probably because you are at work or someplace behind a firewall that won't let you log in properly.

Patience is the key, for answers. I've had threads go unanswered, all the way to the bottom, then on to the next page, then all of the sudden, get lots of replies. The time of day, seems to make a large difference, getting questions answered, cause alot of people work, server could be down, busy, etc.... But all questions do get answered I have not seen any threads go unanwered, the 5 months, I have been visiting.

But other members, made some very good suggestions. While waiting for questions to be answered, you can also visit other sections of the forum, for answers by doing a search, or clicking on new users Icon.

Try not to be discouraged, if questions are not answered in the time frame, you desire. We all desire speedy answers, or detailed answers. But everyone tries to follow the same guidelines, and provide support.
