Hello. I'm in Day 5 of the four week trial in which data is being gathered. My starting level is at 6 and ramps up to 17 throughout the night. So far so good but still getting used to things.
First, what is the best water soluble product out there for soothing and "sealing" the nostrils in conjunction with the nasal pillows?
Also, I noticed a very tiny hole in the lower part of the mask's hose. Is this critical to get fixed? Pressure changes are not noticeable.
Thanks!

Ayr Saline Nasal Gel should do the trick nicely for you. It did for me. My poor nasal passages were so chapped air blowing on them felt like pouring salt on a raw wound.
Yep, get a new hose ASAP. That pin hole leak is therapy pressure leaked, therapy you aren't receiving.

You did not specify the exact mask you are using. Please fill in your profile in text so others can see the equipment you are using. Pinhole leaks are not good, but look up your mask on the web and see if the hose is where the mask exhaust port is located. If you are feeling the exhaust port, then that is normal, but un-intentional pin hole leaks are not good.

Hi Any pinhole is bad. If you cant change the hose out right away you could always try putting a piece of duct take around it as a quick fix for now. Just be sure and check that it isn't an exhaust port before you do that. I use the Ayr nasal gel occasionally and it works well good luck

Lansinoh lanolin is the best nostril/nasal pillow moisturizer I have found. I've seen it recommended by others in this forum. I wouldn't call it water soluble. It's actually water resistant. But I think that's good. I would not want something that dissolved to easily.BowlingJoe wrote: First, what is the best water soluble product out there for soothing and "sealing" the nostrils in conjunction with the nasal pillows?

Thanks, everyone, for the replies. My equipment should now be posted (forgot to check "yes" in the display box for viewing).
I'll check with the sleep center about replacing the hose, as it's not a hole at the exhaust port.

I think he's talking about the short hose on the Activa. There should not be a hole in the short hose, either. Take it back to the DME for relpacement.BowlingJoe wrote: Also, I noticed a very tiny hole in the lower part of the mask's hose. !
