to advanced

Hi
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea 4 years ago and following a sleep study which revealed that i had over 600 apneas and blood oxygen levels dropped to less than 56%, I was given a CPAP which was already preset to 75% of its full output. After a Year of usage I sought Private medical advice regarding surgery and was advised that my condition was too far advanced and that they could not guarantee that surgery would have any affect( although they were willing to take my money to try) I rejected this treatment and would like to know if anyone else has had the same said to them and also what alternatives might be available to me.

Your best bet it to take XPAP treatment and make it your own. There's another thread here, about a person that didn't want to be tied to XPAP, he had surgery, he no longer needs the XPAP treatment. He died from the surgery. Jim

Your post is confusing.

What "condition" was too far advanced?
Which "treatment" did you reject? CPAP?
Did you have the surgery? Which surgery (if any)?
Are you still using CPAP?
