Everything was fine with my data and smartcard, until now went to put my smartcard in
and the light stayed red then said no card detected, I keep my usb plugged into the same place
tried another usb and same thing happened, Does anyone no whats wrong? please help.

I've had that happen.
Make sure the Encore Viewer/Pro program is open first before you try to read the card.
I usually unplug and replug the card reader. If that doesn't work, then I remove and insert the card a few times. Next I gently rub the gold connection point at the top of the card with a pencil eraser. Usually one of these tricks will get it to work. HTH.

On the off chance you were having an OSA moment like I do too often, are you 100% sure you had the card in the right way around? I've stuck it in backwards and upside down (really!) more than once and panicked, so take another look.
