Bleh! Sore throat for a week!

I've had a sore throat for over seven days now. It's making it soooo hard to keep the mask on every night. Coughing in a full face mask = instant ear-popping headache.

This is my first cold/flu/whatever since I started CPAP a couple months ago. It's very odd. My sinuses seem to be staying clearer than I would expect, but I think that's because the pressure blowing is blowing all my snot down into my lungs.

Also, I wake up all red-eyed and crusty, like I'm pushing the "evil" up into my eyes with the mask. I've had viral conjunctavitis before, but this is slightly different in that my eyes start to feel gummy as soon as I put my mask on and stop as soon as I take my mask off. Very weird.

About the only good thing I can say is that this would have murdered me a few months ago, when I was so run down from untreated sleep apnea. But now it's just annoying.

Is is amazing how effective CPAP therapy works to enable us to deal with everything that comes our way, including the occasional "bug!" Okay to whine a bit when we're not feeling well--hope you feel better soon!
