I got a new second hand syncrony.
The blower hours says 2415, and the patient hours says 2417.
I dont understand the differance.
Does it mean it was only used for two hours?
Which one do I go by if I want to get it serviced?

Re: New 2 nd hand Bipap Synchrony
I am a little confused with my new machine.
I was on an older BIPAP, loved it actually.
I am always on a timed setting.
The new machine, when I turn it on, like plug it in, there is a number, and the number is always 2 hours less than my theraphy hours.
I dont understand this.
CAn any one help me ?
I am only on timed, not spontaneous, but I dont know what the settings were of the person who had it before me. It was set to my new settings, and it seems so odd to me that the blower hours are 2 hours less that theraphy hours. They go up at the same time, like if I am on an hour both go up one hour.
Can some one help me a little? These new machines seem so much more complicated

By chance does some one have an idea. This morning, again, the blower hours and theraphy hours went up by the same amiunt, but blower hours are 2 hours less that patient hours. I am sure blowers hours are the first number, and the second number has a person in the window, its always two hours more than the first.
This machine is much quieter that what I am used to, and very light.
I didnt realize so many people were on these machines, kind have felt isolated over all these years, as I spend many hours at home on the machine. my last BIPAP clocked over 60 thousand hours on it. Usuall they conk out after 20 or so, this one was special!
well hope every one has a good day.

Hello & Welcome, dels! Glad you found this forum—SO much useful info and everyone here is so willing to help!
I think that difference might be from when the machine was tested in the factory. Not sure, but I seem to recall seeing that mentioned on this forum at some point.

Yup RipVW will have the most likely answer.
Also on some of these machines, the patient hrs can be reset to 0 but blower hrs can't.
Do you set an option to restore factory defaults ?
