BiPAP auto SV filters- ultra fine and pollen

Post by Karla1958 » Mon Apr 13, 2009 5:00 pm

I was wondering if anyone knows of a better price for the BiPAP autoSV ultra fine filters or the pollen filters. I found them at $1.61 each. That's for both types. I think they even get cheaper if you buy more of them at a time, but I'm not sure. I'm trying to find the best deal because I want to change them out often because I live with that smoker! (hiss, boo for him!) The white ultra fine filters are exactly the same as the ones my roomie bought at $4.25 each from the DME. He wouldn't buy the pollen filters because I think she wanted $6 or $8 a piece for them. I figured washing them wouldn't help with the smell and yuckiness of my roomie's smoking so I'm going to just replace both. (He said it was his fault and he would pay if I could find them cheaper.) So, do you think this is the cheapest I can get them for? The shipping on them was $4.95 for UPS and they came in 2 days! That's a pretty good deal for some of these places. If anyone wants to check it out or try to get cpap.com to match this price. I found these filters at http://www.cpapfiltersandsupplies.com They don't have very many supplies, just filters galore!

I just checked out the site and they have a 6 foot hose for $6.95! I swear it wasn't there a few days ago. That could have saved me all this web price comparison shopping.... grrr! Oh, I just found a spot on their site that says they are adding masks, machines and tubing. I knew it wasn't there last time. I knew I wasn't crazy. (well, that crazy!)

Oh, I'm so sleepy. I wish wearing that mask would help me get over this hypersomnia. I've been wearing my mask around 7 hours now (with a break or two to feed kitties and go to the bathroom) and I was hoping I'd feel the difference, but so far I'm still as sleepy as ever. Can a person sleep and never get good sleep? Could I just not be getting any REM sleep or something? During my sleep study I think I got about 3 minutes of REM sleep. Can a person just sleep their life away and never get better??? I'm thinking I'm hopeless or helpless. I wonder if I should call the sleep center and ask about the Xyrem thing... Now that I have a machine I should be able to take that stuff, shouldn't I? I think I'll call for their opinion tomorrow. It would probably just make me sleepier!

Thanks for all your help and opinions,
Karla
