Warm Air

Post by kopoloff » Sun Apr 12, 2009 1:55 am

I just noticed an odd thing. I have an S8 Auto. I took the humidifier off (I wont even try and explain why, except to say I'm planning anothr gadget) and accidentally turned it on. The air coming out is warm.

Doesn't make sense to me

Any thoughts

The air output from ResMed machines is warmer than that from Respironics machines.
No surprise, after getting over the initial puzzlement.
ResMed has its power management hardware (transformer) inside its case;
Respironics uses an external "brick".

and please scroll down to the post at the bottom of the page
for my own "enlightenment" regarding this issue, some documentation, and some experimental measurement results.
