Card Reader vs. USB link
Card Reader vs. USB link
I am going to take the splunge and purchase the Res Scan 3.7 software. Since I will need either the card reader or the usb link (both are priced the same), does anyone want to weigh in on the relative advantages or disadvantages of one or the other? I have a Vantage S8. I am assuming one can just leave the USB module connected all the time and just unplug the cable?
Getting old doesn't make you 'forgetful'. Having too damn many things to remember makes you 'forgetful'.

Yes, the usb adapter stays plugged into the blower at the card slot. Here is Bill Bolton's summary of the differences in data access as far as usb versus card:Bookbear wrote:I am going to take the splunge and purchase the Res Scan 3.7 software. ResScan card + reader
- The xPAP flow generator and computer do not need to be co-located when transfering data
The ResScan card will eventually need to be replaced, due to wear on the contacts (several years)or being mislaid (whenever).
Your sleep clinician might be interested in your data and if so will probably find the card easiest to handle.
