I was just wondering what is the different between the Pro and the Auto? I noticed a lot
of you have the Auto,

Re: Different cpaps
The Auto can run like the Pro but it can also be set in Auto Mode with a range of pressures. Mine is currently running from 10 to 15 cm/h2o. This allows it to run at what ever pressure between the range to prevent or stop an apnea. Simplified form when you stop breathing it will raise the pressure until you obstruction opens and you breathe again. Some do better on a straight pressure while soom feel that the auto function lets them run at lowest pressure possible. The fact that the auto can be set to run either way is a plus. If you run in straight cpap mode it still lets you run in Auto when ever you want to check your setting or if something changes like weight gain or loss without going back for another sleep study.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting: "Wow what a ride!"
I still play Cowboys and Bad Guys but now I use real bullets. CAS

The Pro is a CPAP but the Auto is an AutoCPAP.
Both record similar data & both can be used for downloading detailed data from the datacard.
Naturally, the CPAP operates at a preset pressure whereas the AutoCPAP can be set to self adjust between a low & high pressure
on the basis of it responding to patterns of events that may occur.
The goal of the Auto is to reduce the complications associated with higher pressures (mask management) by trying to run at as
low a pressure as it can & only raise the pressure if patters of events begin to occur.

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)
