View data on a M series with bipap auto
Hello...I'm a newbie(2 weeks). I've read a lot of posts about being able to access data. All I can access now is basically hour used. I contacted my home care provider and he tells me to call respironics and all I can do is leave a message. Does anyone know if I can change and how to change the data screen so I can get more information on a daily basis without take the smart card to my doctor or to the home care provider for a read out? thanks

unplug.
while pressing left and right buttons, plug back in
machine will beep
up and down buttons scroll through options (write them all down before you change any of them!), left and right change them.
when done, press start/stop.

1) PM Sent.
2) You CAN buy a card reader and Encore Viewer software in order to read your Smart Card data fully. I recommend you read my PM first.
3) Here's some sources to buy the card reader:
Mako DT3500 USB (Infineer)– $39.00 + $13 shipping = $52.00
http://www.minamielec.com/
Mako DT3500 USB (Infineer)– $49.00 + $15 shipping = $64.00

Mako DT3500 SmartCard Reader USB - $54.00 – shipping unknown

Infineer (Mako DT3500) Card Reader from https://www.cpap.com - $139.00

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

"Show AHI/Leak" have to be "On" before you can see AHI and Leak data in the "Patient Data" screen of the little window. That setting is "On" by default when the machine leaves the manufacturer, so if you've not been able to see that data, whoever set the machine up for you may have turned that setting "off."
The setting looks like this in the clinical menu:

To access the clinical menu of an M series machine:
http://www.cpap-supply.com/Articles.asp?ID=130
my note: The "beep" may be hard for some people to hear. If you continue holding down the left/right buttons for at least 8 seconds after plugging the machine in, that's long enough for the unlocked padlock symbol to appear in the little window. When you see that symbol you can release the two buttons. Then press the + button under the word "setup" and you're in the clinical menu.
Use the right/left arrow buttons to walk through the menu. Use the +/- buttons to change a setting. Any changes you make are automatically saved when you exit from the menu.
The data is shown as weekly/monthly averages -- there's no data shown for just the previous night with a Respironics machine. ResMed machines provide last night's data by itself, as well as weekly/monthly averages, but unfortunately Respironics elected not to include just the previous night.
However, there's a way.... time consuming and awkward, but at least it's a way... to work around that.
How to reset the M series machine "weekly"/"monthly" details back to zero, in order to view just last night's results the next day:

The software (Encore Viewer) and card reader give much more detailed information than what shows up in the LCD window.
