Oxygen Concentrator Help
About a year ago I was diagnosed with central sleep apnea. My doctor tried numerous treatment plans (cpap, respironics auto sv, oxygen concentrator, medicine, etc). It was the oxygen concentrator that finally brought me relief and ended my apnea nightmare. After my DME issued a concentrator I was thankful for the relief but frustrated by the machine. It weighed 52 lbs, generated lots of heat, and was enourmous. I am in my 30s so the prospect of lugging this behemouth on business travel, vacation, etc for the rest of my life was scary. Unfortunatley, my DME was unconcerned with my plight and informed me that my insurance company will only pay for the the large oxygen concentrator. In order to solve the problem, I bought a respironics everflo. Although not exactly travel sized, it was smaller, 21lbs lighter and easier to maneuver. Now here is the problem. It is coming near the time to service the machine and no local or internet compnay will service it because it is not their machine. I am willing to service it myself but while companies will gladly sell me the parts (filters), they will not sell me the service manual. Respironics has said that any questions about my product must be answered by my the company that sold it to me. Again they will sell the parts but not the manuals. My ultimate question is does anyone have the service manual to a respironics everlo or information on how to service it?

I would imagine that the service manuals are a for sale item. I also would expect this to be a matter of law in the US.
Respironics are usually very helpful - give them a call at their head office (service) I think it is in PA (Murrayville?)

I have the same problem as Kevin which was not answered by a phone call to Respironics Customer Service. Slinky, any help would be appreciated....Tom
