Frustrated, impatient, and tired.....

Post by Bearcat42 » Sat Apr 04, 2009 2:22 pm

I am so exhausted and I feel a need to vent. I am sorry that y'all have to bear the brunt of my frustrations but I dont know where else to go. My family isnt all that supportive right now as I wait to find out when I go back for a second sleep study for a full night of titration.
It has been 2 weeks since my first test and I have not heard a word. My study is being done through the VA and for those of you who dont know how that system works, well, it is slow. So I am still waiting just to have another appointment made, then wait another 2 weeks after that appointment to get the results, then wait to get a machine.
And during all of this waiting my wife is miserable because of my snoring and I am miserable because of the severe OSA that I apparently have. I am so tired and irritable right now. Do I sound whiney, or what? I am almost considering finding a machine from somewhere, even if I dont know what pressures to use because the sleep tech told me I needed bi-level. I dont know what to do. Be patient I guess.

Hey Bearcat, I hear you.
It's hard to wait, once you know that help is at hand.
I was lucky - I had my machine within 2 weeks of making my first sleep study appointment; but it was really tough watching my son wait longer for his because of where he lives and the sleep center he was working with.
But,to put it in perspective - you've had this problem for years -- hang on another couple of weeks.
Shari

Vent away, my friend. That is one of the reasons we are here. Most of us have been where you are. It takes time, but help is on the way. I was lucky, they were able to do a split night study on me and I got it all done in one night. But it still seemed like it took ages until I was all set up. Hang in there, and feel free to come back here or chat anytime. It will get better.
