Re: old topics!
In case no one has yet, let me welcome you to the forum! Please take a moment to fill in your equipment (in text please) info in your User Profile. Then come back and post what you are struggling with and maybe someone can give you some advice that will make your CPAP use easier and more effective. Maybe then you can stay awake without snacking.
Re: old topics!
Welcome to the forum. I suspect but can't say without more info that you may be having mask leaks. It seems to be a common issue with most beginners. Finding the right mask is pretty much trial and error until you find what is right for you.
Please follow the suggestion already posted and list your equipment and pressure setting. This will give the folks here more Information to offer helpful responses. There is a wealth of knowledge available here. The snacking problem may or may not be connected to cpap use. I have the same problem, but it has nothing to do with cpap. Being diabetic I count carbs in everything I eat. Being restricted to 45 to 60 grams of carbs per meal will take the weight off, but leaves me craving snacks during the evening hours. One thing that I am currently looking into is the Glycemic Index. Foods on the low glycemic index will help me with weight loss and supposedly help reduce cravings, especially for sugar loaded junk foods. I am currently collecting low glycemic recipes to incorporate into my diet. Just do a search for Glycemic Index, there is plenty of good information avaiable on the net. Hope this will be of help.
