What kind of mask did you settle on? If you register and fill out your equipment list it helps others help you.daddycoop wrote:I hope I have problems here you can relate to, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and immediately got a new respironics m series automatic machine, I used it for 6 months everynight and have now 6 mask, the thing is I FEEL NOTHING FROM IT, still fatigued, stomach distention upon waking, eyes swelled and tearing, legs still swelled with pitted edema x3, anyone here been there, and WHY ME, I hear others so benefit from the machines and me NADA!
I bet if you dig in and learn about your therapy, while you might not feel a bunch better, you'll know you're benefiting from it. Some folks take a long time, perhaps over a year, to satisfy that sleep debt that they have accumulated over many years. But let's say you had a 40 AHI and with treatment you're around 2 AHI, you might not be getting the "feel good" that you were hoping for, but there is no denying that your heart has benefited.
Click on "my wisdom" on the light bulb at the top and start perusing some of the things that might help you benefit. For one, you can learn how to turn on some displays for your machine that will give you an idea of leak rates and AHI so we can see if you're getting good therapy. Right now I'm just guessing blind here. I can tell you you have a very good CPAP machine.

SnuggleHose - Got the 8 foot and cut it down to 6, used the rest for mask hoses.
Memory Foam Pillow - Cut my own out of my Tempur-pedic pillow. (works great!)

Re: any help please
Do you have software?
Your treatment may not be effective if you leak pressure or if your pressure is incorrectly set ... software helps your determine issues with your treatment.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Re: any help please
Are you using your pap on straight c-pap or on auto? I started on straight c-pap at my titrated pressure of 14, and felt like poo! I was switched to an auto and find that I average 11.5. I do much better on an auto, and I felt the difference the first night. (just remember that if you are using an auto set it for close to your titrated pressure and not the 4-20 range)
Best of luck.
Best of luck.

Slow down a little and take 3 slow, deep breaths. I can feel your frustration, but there isn't enough information in your post for us to really help you. Bear in mind that I did not really feel results until it had been several months, and then it was a very slow and subtle process.
Here is a link saying almost exactly what I would say to you, once you have registered for the forum. You are perfectly welcome to visit as a guest, but registering helps us to help you. (You will not receive any promotions and your e-mail will be kept private if you choose.) I would only add that if you could list the masks you have tried, given that the lists here do not help enough already, and what the problem was that you experienced with each one...it might be more useful. Please check out the following:

Best wishes, and there is help. You have already stuck with your CPAP for a long time by yourself. If you have found us, you have found support.

What pressure(s) are you using? What humidification? What mask?

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.
