Please help me on my situation
Please help me on my situation
Hello, please help me get out of this problem. 3 months ago, I bought a new Resmed p10 mask because I blamed the mask I was using before for my foggy head problem in the morning. I have been sleeping with the same mask for 3 months. My AHI value is as good as before, but I cannot feel it physically. My head is foggy again in the morning, and I get sleepy while watching TV again. Am I making a mistake somewhere? Could you please review my readings from last night? Maybe a reason comes to your mind. By the way, my flow limit value is often below my last night's value. (95% is below 0.05) My other values are very similar to other nights on average.
If my wife said to me when I woke up in the morning: "You forgot to put on your mask last night," I would say it's true. I don't feel the difference physically that much.

How old are you?
What's your weight?
Who prescribed CPAP and why?
Look at the change in your chart starting at 4 AM.
1) There's a sudden drop in how much air you're breathing
2) This gets even worse at 5:30 and you start snoring.
3) You also start leaking at the same time.

Well, technically, it's not how much-- it's how fast (flow vs volume).
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

I am 45 years old with 80kg. height and 170cm weight. Doctor gave me the cpap machine with 8 pressur 5 years ago. But I use the machine for only 4 months.

Re: Please help me on my situation
Sorry to hear! It looks like you may have changed your sleeping position at 4am and again at 0530. Were you on your back when you woke? Do you sleep on your stomach? Your problem seems positional, is what I'm saying. Also, you might try going up 1cm or turning down EPR to 2.

Re: Please help me on my situation
Yes, there are times when I wake up on my back, but I don't remember how I woke up this morning. I wish I had filmed myself, I would have seen how I slept during those hours. Let me do it this weekend, it's the best But does my sleeping position during this period alone explain my inability to wake up refreshed in the morning?
Re: Please help me on my situation
Au contraire... but Google does a great job when I need to convert from imperial to metric...

Re: Please help me on my situation
Then why is your machine at 7?
And why did the doc give you that machine?

Re: Please help me on my situation
The doctor gave it up due to obstructive sleep apnea. My AHI was 21.5. He said you don't need an Auto CPAP, CPAP is ok for you. If you ask why 7, I do some experiments on pressure and EPR. I tried 7 yesterday with 3 EPR.
Re: Please help me on my situation
How did the doctor diagnose the obstructive sleep apnea?
How did he decide on the pressure?
What made you experiment?
What made CPAP so difficult to use for 5 years?
What made you get back to it?

"Don't need auto . . . "
They pulled that crap on me--I really, really NEED APAP!
Eff anybody who says otherwise!
Some folks benefit from single pressure; and only an APAP is capable of BOTH!

Re: Please help me on my situation
Did you spend only 4 hours 22 minutes in bed, or did you sleep part of the night without using your machine?

Re: Please help me on my situation
After First sleep test I sleep with mask and machine and doctor diagnosed the sleep apnea and pressure. (Is there any other way?) I couldnt sleep with mask and always gave up using it but I decided to use it 4 months ago and I started.
