Humor: Why you should get a 10 foot CPAP hose

Post by alnhwrd » Tue Dec 30, 2008 6:14 am

Last night I woke up and could not get back to sleep. My mind began to wander as I listened to the gentle rush of my trusty Elite. I don't know why but I considered briefly that 10 foot hoses exist in the CPAP world, and regurgitated the following:

10 Reasons to get a 10 foot hose

You and your wife are newlyweds and you want to sleep with intertwined hoses

You can use it when you are playing “Indiana Jones and the CPAP Crusade”

It alleviates the case of “hose envy” you developed ever since that guy “MINESBIGGER” showed up in Newbie Chat.

You can use it as a weapon to fend off the monsters that come out from under your bed at night.

With the proper hose cover, it will be a great addition to “Bondage Night”.

You can freak out your dog by laying one end by her head while she is sleeping and meowing into the other from the next room.

You don’t get as good a reverb when you yodel “Ricola!!” into a six foot hose.

With two you can Double Dutch.

It makes it easier to practice your knots for your next merit badge.

If you are ever trapped in a flooded house it will give something to breath through while you wait for FEMA to show up.

Bad. Especially the one about FEMA.

You know, you just gave me an idea. I have a 10 foot hose, but don't use it routinely. But I COULD use it, and then migrate back to the side of the bed I like, and force the BF to sleep next to the machine, which has to sit where it does, because it has to be lower than the bed.

I'll just route the hose over the BF to the machine.

I'm sure it won't bother him.

LOL,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

A ten foot probably will be too short, in the length of response time you will drown. Best bet move your XPAP to high ground. The government will want to tax your last breath. Jim

Yes, probably likely. I am located in the part of New Orleans which did NOT flood, but I don't trust FEMA and the Feds not to find a way around that!

Our actual goal is to move to higher ground, "north of the I-12 as they say around here. Unfortunately, we can't do that until my husband retires.
