Anyone doing the trial with the new pap-cap and headgear?
Can you post a picture of how your wearing it? I'm not positive Im useing it right and a picture is worth a thousand words!
I can say the new cap fits better than the previous version and doesn't require triming for the ears!

874, I'm doing the trial. I will try and do a pic tonight.kest874 wrote:Anyone doing the trial with the new pap-cap and headgear?

So far, I am impressed. I used the original cap w/the chinstrap, when
I first started cpap. I was using an Optilife pillows. When I started using
a ffm, I didn't need the chinstrip, so I quit using the cap.....and I missed it.
I like the new cap. I'm still working w/getting it adjusted, but so far, it's good.
I've used it for 4 nights now, 2 w/Quattro mask and 2 w/UM mask.
It is much more comfortable than the neoprene headgear.

Re: Pap-cap with headgear
I took another look at it last night and figured out how it's suppose to go.
I did have to alter mine a bit as the straps that go to the bottom of the mask were too long and did not have enough adjustment.
It is really comfortable, I too think I need to play with the adjustment a little more as my leak rate was up a little last night.

Re: Pap-cap with headgear
I forgot to do some pics last night.
I put my cap on w/my UM last night, no adjustments.
I had an absolute flat leak line at the intentional leak rate for
that mask at my pressure. No adjustments through the night.
I am liking this cap.

Here are some images of the Pur-sleep ffm headgear papcap.
These were made w/my brand new UM small. I will be testing it tonight.
I am enjoying this cap/headgear combination.

Re: Pap-cap with headgear
I have to say I am loving the Pap-Cap with headgear also! Usually I am futzing around many times a night with my full face masks, and only once last night did I have to adjust a strap. I will have some suggestions for Bret if he asks, but overall I would not hesitate to recommend this product to fellow CPAP users!
Thank you, Bret, for allowing us to test this product! The deluxe chinstrap I wasted my mony on previously didn't work worth a dang, but yours keep my mouth mostly shut (I AM a hardcore mouth breather after all and will need to work hard at retraining myself), and I am just thrilled as can be that I may eventually be able to move to a nasal mask thanks to your wonderful invention!!

Re: Pap-cap with headgear
Here are my numbers from last night.
These are w/an UMsmall and the Papcap headgear.
I made the initial adjustments when I installed the mask.
When I went to bed, I did not have to make any further adjustments.
I can live w/a leak line like that any night.
The spikes at the end, I was awake and moving to create the leaks,
so I could see what they looked like on the graph.
I slept for almost 4hrs straight.... a new record for me.
It just keeps getting better and better.
Thanks! Bret.
