The Return of the Great Nasal Aire II Test Drive

Postby Babette At Work on Mon Apr 28, 2008 2:51 pm

MANY THANKS to a GENEROUS FORUM MEMBER (Issac) who recently donated a boxful of supplies to the Great Nasal Aire II Test Drive!!! :D (Where's that standing ovation icon?)

Now, help a sleep girl out and re-PM me your name and mailing addy if you want to be on the Test Drive list. Tell me a sob story about why you need to be FIRST on the list, or I'm taking them in order as I get them.

HOW IT WORKS: You PM me your name and mailing addy and email addy. I ship a box of supplies to you. I email you the cost of the postage. You pay me via PayPal. When you get the box, you wash the supplies to your own satisfaction. I wash everything before I send it out, but everyone needs to feel 100% comfortable about their mask. BTW - I'm a non-smoker, non-pet owner. House smells like PurSleep.

Then - you decide if this is the mask for you or not. Take your time. When you've decided, you wash it, re-box it up, and let me know you're ready to send it along. I'll send you the info for the next person in the chain to ship it to. You email them the postage costs, and they pay you.

And so on, and so on, and so on....

BTW, shout out to NEW2 - the original donor who got this ball rolling. I don't see her post much here anymore - I'm hoping her therapy is going so well she's bored with the board. THANK YOU NEW2!

And also thanks to 6ptStar, SleepyCarol, PanHandler, SleepyRed, JSmythe, and RosemaryB, who have all contributed to the Great NAII Test Drive, in their own special ways.

If you want to try this mask, PM "Babette" and give me all your info.

If you'd like to learn more, read my "Babette's Nasal Aire II Tip Sheet."
cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t23207/Babettes-Nasal-Aire-II-Tip-Sheet.html

Don't try to PM me at this particular screen name - this is just me at work, where I can't log in, and have to post as a Guest.

Cheers,
Babette

It would help to understand the game. I was supposed to be flinging farm animals at the Approaching Invaders. Not into my own fortress...

Really kinda fun. I actually made it to Level 4. Not bad for a non-gamer chick.

Hey Babs,

Got your email tonight. Of course I can't find my pics to send you. :(

If you still are wanting them I think I hosted them at Picaso. I thought Photobucket but they weren't there and I have an account at Picaso as well.

Any cute guys reply yet? Can't you see them in their speedo's and their NAII? Plain sexy!!

Spam is GREAT!!!

No worries! I logged on tonight and copied them off the forum. I wrote up a whole Manual to enclose with the NAII Test Drive Supplies. Sort of an expanded version of the Tip Sheet. Complete with pix.

Boys in Speedos and NAII's.... Hmmmmmmm...... 8)

Maybe we should do the "Sexy CPAPers Calendar" and raise money for indigent folks who can't afford a new mask?

LOL,
Babs

Hey, BTW, I know several of you PMed me today. I'm not able to look at my PM's until after work. So, I'm not ignoring you, I just can't log in until this evening.

I've got three on my list so far. Bear in mind that it takes about 7-10 days per person... Just so you know what kind of wait you might have.

Cheers,
Babette

I am the one babette is talking about. I have used it for 5 nights now. I am totaly sold on it and will be buying it from cpap.com as soon as my stimulas money hits my bank on the 13th. Today was the lowest leak rate ever it was .00 Not even my other 2 masks have I gotten any lower than .40 and most of the time at least .70 or higher. Can't thank babette enough for doing the test drive as I would not have thought of buying it. I love love it.

Bumping this for new folks who might be interested in the Test Drive.

And also to tell you I finally posted pix of my new Deluxe Chinstrap/NAII mod on the Tipsheet, and in my Photobucket account:

http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t2320 ... Sheet.html

http://s124.photobucket.com/albums/p36/ ... aise/CPAP/

I bought the cheap Deluxe - not the name brand. Works just fine. I found the back strap to be critical, but the front strap is not necessary for me.

The chinstrap doesn't fully curve around my chin - it sort of stands away from my chin and lower lip. That's fine. Less contact the better with my skin issues. Works JUST FINE.

Now I'm off to try to replicate it in the cool cotton knit tie dye fabric that Goose sent me. I did it once, and it didn't work so good, but now that I've slept with the Deluxe for a few weeks, I see I need to SEW the velcro loops that secure the mask hoses to the chinstrap, and add a back strap to my tie dye version. If it works, I'll post pix of it.

And I LOVED the Topaz mod - I just can't tolerate the Topaz's fabric... sigh...

Cheers,
Babs

Gotten a few inquiries about the Test Drive lately. Thought I'd post this to help people just hearing about this now. (editted 10/15/08 to revise postage rules, and add non-smoking rule)

How The Great Nasal Aire II Test Drive Works

To join the Test Drive, you need to PM me:

1. Your real name
2. Your mailing address
3. Your offline email address
4. Your phone number (I keep this confidential, it's just for emergencies)

Once I get all that, I’ll put you on the mailing list, and tell you how many people are ahead of you on the list, so you can judge how long before it gets to you.

The general idea is this:

The person ahead of you mails the mask to you. They email you and tell you it's on it's way.

You get the box, read all the instructions, and try the mask out. Each person should be able to judge whether this is working for them or not within 7 days.

When you are ready to pass it on, email me, and I’ll give you the info for the next person in line. You mail them the box. Then email the person and tell them it's coming.

Your only cost to participate is the postage to pass it along.

I haven't said this before, but the other test drivers are making this clear, so maybe I should, as well. These parts are coming from a non-smoking household. Please, only non-smokers can participate in the test drive. It just isn't fair to non-smokers to have to use a mask after a smoker has worn it. It's impossible to fully clean that smell out of a mask to the satisfaction of a non-smoker.

Cheers,
Babette

Sorry folks. Having computer problems, and I'm under the weather. I haven't been able to log into this website since my work computer died last week. Still working on restoring other stuff.

Yes, the NAII Test Drive is still going. It's a couple weeks out from shipping. If you PMed me your info, I will add you to the list, and let you know when it gets near to being your turn.

Cheers,
Babette
