Basically they're the same thing.....exhale relief for the respective machines.
Bi-Flex for Bi-PAPs
C-Flex for CPAPs

Now.....A-Flex for APAPs (Autos).....I believe this is only in Auto mode

They're all trademarks of Respironics machines.

Dec 27, 2005 subject: Whats the differences in BIPAP, XPAP, APAP, CFLEX

C-flex gives a drop in pressure at the beginning of each exhalation.

I think of A-Flex (in an autopap) and Bi-flex (in a bipap) as being essentially the same thing as each other. They both give a "C-flex" style drop in pressure at the beginning of each exhalation -- plus they give the additional comfort of smoothing out the transitions between exhale-inhale-exhale-inhale.
