Adapt SV 12 Volt Adapter

Post by DrowzyDave » Tue Sep 04, 2007 4:30 pm

Does anyone have any idea where one can purchase the 12 volt DC adapter for the Adapt SV? It is listed as VPAP Adapt SV DC Converter P/N 26928 in my user manual and DC-30 Power Converter 22005 on a brochure on the Resmed web site. I have searched for both via Google and have not come up with anyone that sells it. Our hosts do not carry it.

I suppose as a last resort I could ask the DME to order it but . . .

I have emailed Resmed but thought I would ask the good folks here also.

Thanks.

Daev

Dave,

I tried a google of Aust sites to see if any Resmed reseller listed it but got no hits.

Have you had any luck there yet ?

Isn't it a standard 12 volt power supply?

When running off a low voltage power source, the VPAP Adapt SV needs a 30 Volt DC input. The Resmed DC-30 adapter takes a 12V DC input and delivers a 30V DC output.

Dave, a DC-30 was sold on eBay here in Oz a month or so ago, so they definitely do exist! From the photo in the auction, it looked to be about the same size as the DC-12 adapter but with a different styling.

Cheers,

Bill

Resmed answered my email with a request for my zip code so they could put me in touch with a distributor. We will see how that goes.

Hopefully I won't need a prescription.

When you find a distributor, please PM me. I am also interested in the 30V
supply for the Assist SV.

From the literature, I gathered the ResMed cords were terminated in open battery terminal clamps -- if one were to apply to use it in flight, as some who have posted to this forum have done, those would not likely be approved. I would like to find a battery / cord solution that could be submitted for airline approval

The one picture I have seen of a DC-30, on an eBay auction, showed a cigarette lighter connector on the 12V side cable. This is the same as the DC-12.

Cheers,

Bill
