Yes, guest is right. Steroid sprays could contribute to probs with fungals.

Also someone posted something about a batch of bad filters recently in the STinky TAnk thread:

You know, I just did a THOROUGH cleaning of all my equipment, scrubbing everything, changing filters, even put a teensy tinesy bit of eucalyptus oil on my filter, and my throat is feeling a little better.

Hey Goof, I can beat that. But I'd get sore fingers from typing it all.

I totally relate to the changing research thing. I just read that excess B-6 aggravates acne, so I picked out all the B-6 I was taking for weight loss (have seen NO improvement from taking it, btw) from my daily pill boxes.

My mom says vitamins are cheap insurance. So I just keep taking them, and changing them as people tell me new info.

BTW, my parents are both using 3 "pill minders" a day, with a minimum of 6 pills each. And they are mostly vitamins. Only a few "drugs". I consider myself adequately dosed with twice a day handfuls. But my pill minder boxes are twice the size of their little ones.

My swallowing abilities are legendary. I've taken my pills in front of friends with gag issues and they've nearly thrown up watching me hork all that down in one gulp. I'm so good now, I can practically do it without water. I do occasionally have problems with the morning dry throat and something sticking. I just drink more water. And sometimes my stomach gets touchy, but if I eat something, I'm fine.

You can train yourself to do this. I used to be unable to swallow pills at all. When I was a kid, mom had to crush everything and feed it to me in food or drinks. Then my stomach hated taking anything on an empty stomach. I threw up so much in the morning during high school, everyone swore I was pregnant.

You learn. I swear you too can learn this trick. Then you can hire yourself out as the trained seal in the circus and swallow herring.

LOL,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

I, too, used to be nearly unable to take pills. Had to do this whole throwing my head back motion where I pretty much catapulted the darn things down my throat. But now after a few years of taking massive amounts of vitamins, I could probably sign up to be a drug mule...

Whenever my sinuses start bothering me, I let the humidifier and mask (and sometimes the hose) soak in a 3:1 water : vinegar mixture. It always seems to help.
