The Benefits of Patience

Post by Snoozin' Bluezzz » Tue Mar 20, 2007 9:29 am

Just a note of encouragement for other folks struggling with OSA and their xPAP.

I have been 100% compliant for 14 months now. In the last 4-6 weeks my AHI has finally dropped down to a consistent range around 1 often dropping into the .6 or so range. I have done nothing other than just hang in there, tweak my interface as needed, begin using Ibuprofen regularly to manage some joint soreness creating what may have been moderate PLMD and, most recently, use a hose hanger created by someone on this forum, and (off and on) be better about eating too late.

In the past 4-6 weeks or even more recently, I have been consistently sleeping straight through for 7 hours or so whereas in the past that would only happen every 4-6 days.

I hope this continues and is not just an anomaly. I am starting to feel a little better physically than I have for some time as well. It may take some of us longer than others. guess I had a tremendous deficit to overcome.

I ask your for thoughts and wishes for continued good results.

David
