How to get the best pressure?

Post by TiredGuy009 » Wed May 27, 2020 6:42 pm

I manually change it all the time but still have a real hard time with it and hard
to tolerate. The pressure my pulmonologist had it on was bad. I've used CPAP and bipap on and off for years since teens, always difficult

I think CPAP and bipap therapy is much more harder and complex for people with autonomic, neurological and neurodegenerative issues.

Unless you are using software like Oscar to see what is really happening at night, any pressure change is a guess

welcome to the zoo! the experts here are going to need a LOT more to go on so that they can advise you.

lsat is on target with telling you to get the oscar software. see the link at the bottom of his sig or mine to get it. this is NOT software that will run on a tablet or phone. you must be using a desk top or laptop. either ios or windows.

also, pls see the "newbie" thread i have linked below.

it's very likely that your machine settings aren't set up properly for you. we are all very different in how we proceed down this cpap journey. what works for me may not necessarily work for thee. and the other way around.

so please read the newbie thread and start giving us some data. a good place to start would be in filling out your equipment profile.

good luck!

If you're going to just randomly push buttons and turn dials then of course you are not going to get optimal pressure.

You need to measure, make a change, and monitor the effect.

DO NOT make changes based on one night. Changes should be based on trends. Wait a few days between changes to see if they have any effect.

folks, the user who posted this has been in enough to see all of our responses, yet apparently doesn't really want any help.

just sayin'.
