Has anybody been told to use a CPAP IMMEDiATELY after a sleep test

Post by D.H. » Wed Jul 17, 2019 9:38 am

I'm asking if anybody has had a sleep test and been told that it is so dangerous to sleep without a CPAP that (s)he must start immediately.

Presumably, if that happens one is sent home with loanter equipment.

Feb 2013 I had my sleep test. That afternoon I had a DME rep at my door with the S9 & gear in hand. My doc didn’t tell me until later he sort of freaked when he received my report & immediately called a meeting with my insurance and the local DME. I love my doc. I recall something about “well insurance will have to figure this out on the fly” I need to find that report for a good old time.

No doubt they are willing to loan you a XPAP and mask while the process takes place, THINK!!! Jim

Will the one Lucky Person who got this please stand up., also and tell us how you lived thru not using XPAP before the Sleep Test.

Mine was so bad they made me wait in the lobby while they prepared loanter equipment.

Doubtful. This got me an appointment for a tritiation several more months out. The tritiation got me a prescription for a machine and from there it took me a year and a new insurance to actually pay partially for a machine. I don't know what it would take to get a machine quickly. Probably a hospital visit because your dying from something else.

The sleep tech did tell me it was the highest number of events she had ever seen.

I did think that there was at least one such person out there. Apparently there was, and it was in the U.S.!

Unfortunately, there are many patients who should be told this, but aren't!

Do you also sell So No Clean on the side, you seem to like scare tactics. It's a proven money maker by scammers. Jim

Got sent straight to hospital so I could be on APAP full time until my equipment arrived.
