Arousals
Arousals
This is a bit embarrassing but that's the beauty of the Internet, I can share embarrassing, personal items and could bump into you tomorrow and neither of us would know any different.
I've been using CPAP for couple weeks now and things have been going pretty good. The first couple days were kind of rough, but things are getting better. I still haven't had a full continuous night sleep but I'm waking up less and able to get back to sleep without getting out of bed.
But that's not what I'm here for.
I've noticed over the last few days, that I have been getting a lot of erections, both in the night being awakened by them and every morning. A little bit about me, I'm not a kid anymore. I'm not dysfunctional or anything close but I thought those days were far behind me. I did some googling and it looks like I'm not the only man who has experienced this evening and morning rejuvenation.
Upon looking at my SleepyHead charts I noticed that it keeps track or my erections, although it uses a more complete medical term, Respiration Effort Relate Arousal (RERA).
I was actually a little embarrassed when I saw my Sleep Doctor, she commented on how my Obstructive and Hypopneas were really down. I couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking when she saw all the Erections I was having.
Why does my ResMed and SleepyHead track my nightly erections?
Is this feature the difference between the regular ResMed and the For Her Model?
I know we are all different, but is their a target number I shout be having?
Is there a number that is too high and I should bring it up to my doctor next visit?
How are erections related to breathing and CPAP, there is obviously a correlation if it's monitored so closely?
Thank you!

Thanks!

More pressure in the bedroom seems to do that! Why don't I see that listed as a complication???klm49 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 01, 2018 7:53 pmUSMCVet wrote: ↑Sun Apr 01, 2018 6:34 pmI'm so jealous!!!!! I'm so lucky to have a great woman in my life. There is no way I can be a Pro Lapsing in my treatment. She spoils me. If she sees me falling asleep she yells at me and tells me to put on my mask.
