Hi,
I'm back after a long absence. I just got a new CPAP machine on rental and mask after years. My old sleep doc retired and it took me a while to find a new sleep doctor.
Is Sleepyhead using an SD card still the best option? My Dreamstation has a cellular modem and bluetooth so I was hoping there was software that could use that. Of course Sleepmapper can connect to my Dreamstation via bluetooth but it just gives me AHI.
I'm also debating whether to buy a cellular modem for my old S9 Autoset or buy the Dreamstation I'm renting. What do you think?
My new sleep doctor prefers Dreamstation, but he seems open me to using another machine as long as it has a cellular modem to send info to him automatically, which seems reasonable. S9 seems quieter, has auto warmup and auto ramp. With the Dreamstation, I have to hit a button to use the ramp and set preheat each time. I do prefer the exhale on the Dreamstation.
Thanks for your help!

Yes! Unless you have to have your use monitored for INS. Jim

The cell modems only talk back to the mothership, With out the professional software, *and* a login on the resmed software site, you can't get to the data, besides, I've been told by a sleep doctor that there's more data on the SD card than resmed transmits.Tovi wrote:Hi,

Resmeds are more responsive to breathing issues during the night than respironics are, which often results in people being able to use lower pressures to achieve the same result. Like you, in my experience, the resmeds are quieter.

I replaced the regular SD cards with Flash Air cards. That way, I can read the data on the card using my in home wi fi system. I copy the data to a file on my hard drive and read it from there using the sleepyhead software.
