As written, the OP is stating that his machine does not have an SD card. There is no reference to a card reader.

Distance from computer to Res Med machine seems to be a problem. Computer at one end of house--res med at the other. Has anyone had this situation?

Re: SleepyHead Software
The only way you can read the data on the SD card without physically removing it from the machine is to use a flash air card in the machine. I have them in both of our machines and read our data over the home wifi system. The only time the cards are removed from the machines is when we take them in during our routine doctor checks.A MESS wrote:Distance from computer to Res Med machine seems to be a problem. Not all machines are Resmed CPAP machines are data capable. The question here is- why does your machine not have a SD card? Is there a slot for one, but you haven't bought one to put in?ConfusedCPAP wrote:I just downloaded SleepyHead for my Resmed CPAP and it is asking for my SD card, which my machine does NOT have, I have an external modem. If there is no slot, did you check your user manual in case you can't find it.
What is easiest is if you tell us the full name of your machine and then one of the gurus here can tell you if your machine is data capable.
If your machine is not data capable then you can't download data to sleepyhead.

I'll tell you where to stick your SD card. Hell, your whole machine!
Re: SleepyHead Software
Confused , what Resmed do you have. If it's an older one like a S8 it doesn't have a SD
card but if it's a S9 or newer it should have one. But it may be a little hard to find it on
a S9 when you first look for it.

I have an AirSense 10. My machine does have a slot for an SD card but the doc said that I have the external modem so I should not need a SD card. Also, my CPAP machine is no more than 4 feet away from my computer.ConfusedCPAP wrote:I just downloaded SleepyHead for my Resmed CPAP and it is asking for my SD card, which my machine does NOT have, I have an external modem. Re: SleepyHead Software
If you want to use sleepy head, you MUST use an ad card in your machine. If you use a standard SD card, you move it from your machine to the computer, head the data, than return it to your machine every day. If you don't want to move the card back and forth, invest in a flash air card. Your machine cannot talk directly to your computer no matter how close it is. The only way your machine can record the data sleepy head needs is on the SD card.

Re: SleepyHead Software
As I understand it, the external modem just transmits basic compliance information such as AHI and hours of use. Someone had to have actually removed the SD card that came as a part of your machine's package. My AirSense 10 had a blue Resmed SD card preinstalled. You can buy any regular SD card and put it in the machine to begin recording data.
