Old CPAP Machine

Post by rebusby » Fri Jan 13, 2017 10:21 am

Have a Fisher Paykel Sleep Style 200 CPAP machine that I no longer need. Trying to find out if there is place to donate or recycle the machine versus just throwing it in a dumpster. Thanks.

If it is working well, I'd offer it in the free section on Craigslist or on Freecycle. I'm sure there are other places as well. Make sure that you include the run hours in your posting so folks know it's an old machine. If you know how to change the settings, you can TELL them how to do it, but don't do it yourself.

If nobody takes you up, recycle it as you would an old stereo or toaster.

There was a donation place which required you to pay to mail it to them, but they recently received 5000 old, unused units from Resmed, so aren't taking machines with a lot of usage now. No room. Another place to check is area home health nursing companies. They often have clients who have no money for these things and they can arrange for a PT to do the settings.

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual
