ASV Machine

Post by DeniseD » Fri Jan 06, 2017 4:46 pm

Can't log in....

Long story short. I was here a couple of years ago talking about needing an ASV machine. I have CSA. Unfortunately, I could not afford the $430/month rental fee for this equipment with the insurance that I had.

I have insurance now that will cover 1/2 the per month rental fee for 10 months, after I have met my deductible of $1000. This is still a ton of money, but a lot less than Binson's says that the retail on an ASV machine is $7,500. I then own the machine after 10 months.

I have Priority Health HMO.

Can anyone tell me of a decent price rental place? What are the latest ASV machines?

For the past 2 weeks, I have had to stop 4 times on the freeway and nap on my 10 mile journey to work in Detroit. Stopping on the side of the road is less dangerous than getting off the freeway and napping. I am exhausted.

You can get a Resmed S10 ASV machine for under $2K at secondwindcpap, it would be a lightly used machine with warranty.

With no warranty, I paid 400 for one and 600 for another resmed aircurve 10 asv, but that's taking your chances. Here is one for 1,100 near detroit, new in box, fairly sure that seller won't ship, but I'm not entirely sure.

There are probably more out there, but it takes some searching. Warranties are good thing..... The ASV is different from the ST-A IVAPS listed below:

Here is an old ad for a resmed s9 st-a ivaps for 320 from Tacoma washington....might be worth an email for somedody's backup like raisedfist...

https://offerupnow.com/item/detail/1377 ... d-s9-bipap

This appears to be a resmed s9 st-a ivaps 2 years old for 400, maybe offer 200...

Here's an Aircurve10 ASV for pickup in Eden Prairie, MN asking $800...

Here is a zero hour resmed s9 vpap adapt for central apneas at 850 from Raleigh NC....I like the s9 vpap adapt a lot, maybe a good offer would be 400 or 300 or something. The s9 is a great machine as long as it is the 36037 model and not the 36007 model.

Down the road from secondwindcpap.com is cpapliquidators.com. for some reason I thought they used to have the same address. not sure what 'refurbished' vs 'gently used' means...but it says a 1 year warranty for 1,649

I have a used S9 VPAP ADAPT model 36037 with 1084 hours on it. It comes with a humidifier, carry case, and new heated tube. I am asking $450 and I'll include a new mask too (Dreamwear, Amara, Amara view, or others that I have). I'm in Michigan (Macomb area) and could meet you locally.
