Unit doesn't fully ramp

Post by bogeyman » Sat Oct 29, 2016 8:52 pm

I have a RESMED S9, and discovered last night that it is stopping the ramp process at 9, and never fully increases to the 13 I have it set for. Any ideas on how to correct this?

I been using a similar machine for 6 years but never used a ramp. I mask and put the chinstrap at 12:30 a.m. and start the machine and then wait for Charlie Rose's program on PBS TV to end and then I shut all lights. I wake at 7:30 but stay in bed till 8:30 without the APAP.

Why?
Began XPAP May 2016. Autoset Pressure min. 8 / max 15. Ramp off. ERP set at 2. No humidity. Sleepyhead software installed and being looked at daily, though only beginning to understand the data.

Hi OP bogeyman

Has it just happened only last night? Or did you just notice it for the first time last night?

I think I would turn off the ramp and see what happens
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

Yes, I agree. At least you'll prove that the machine is capable of putting out your prescribed pressure. If it works and find that you're OK with out the ramp, that should work for you.

What model S9 do you have? Are you using Sleepyhead software?

Have you gone into the clinical setup menu area to make sure something didn't change in the settings?
Do you know how to go to the setup menu where you can confirm what the settings are and make changes if need be?
If not...here's the S9 manual that describes how to get there.
