Cap mask

Post by Jacque1 » Mon Sep 26, 2016 12:06 pm

I have a problem with my cpap mask. I'm able to fall asleep with my mask on but during 5he course of the night my mask begins to leak air. 5he noise is so annoying until I have to take the mask off. Then I'm exhausted in the morning. Some please tell me what I'm doing wrong with me mask.

not telling us what kind of mask would be the first thing wrong.

Hi Jac,
Are you laying down on the bed to strap on the mask? Lying down will get your mask closer to a better fit, at least it does on me. It makes a difference when lying down or sitting up. Just curious...do tell the kind of mask though.

Lying down while adjusting the mask is a great idea.
The cushion fills with air, and it rides your face like a hovercraft.
Avoid making a wrinkle, because that is where it will leak.
If a leak happens, you can lift the mask out until it fills with air,
then gently seat it back onto your face. [Even in the dark]
The same principle applies for nasal pillows, but on a smaller scale.
Don't give up when you are so close to the finish line.
You start out so well--keep it going!
And Karen at PadaCheek makes soft washable fleece mask liners which might work.
Check if your mask is listed on her site.
