I have noticed a consistent difference between the daily hours of use as reported on the data panel of the machine and my computation as well as reported by SleepyHead.
Example: start session at 11:30 PM - end session at 7:00 AM - I compute this as 7 hours 30 minutes of use; SH reports the same. The data panel on the machine shows 9 hours 30 minutes of use. Does this agree with others' experiences with this machine? Am I missing something? My question really relates to the hours of use being clocked on the machine - should I care as long as the data recorded on the card is correct - or, at least, if I think it's correct?

Usage and run hours are not the same thing.
After you get up, the blower continues to operate, to dry out the hose.

Just a shot in the dark, but is there a time zone setting in your machine? Is there another setting for local DME time?

Take any naps during the 24 hour reporting period?
Is the clock on the machine set correctly to whatever your local time is?
Is it always a 2 hour difference or does it vary?
The machine will continue to blow at a low level pressure for 30 to 45 minutes after mask removal but that shouldn't be counted in the therapy usage hours. That blowing just gets added into the total machine run hours which is always going to be different from total therapy hours with the ResMed machines. It won't blow for 2 hours to dry things out though...maybe 45 minutes at the most.

Re: Query: AirSense 10 AutoSet timing difference
To clarify: the time I refer to is that displayed on the machine immediately following the session; it is always longer than the actual time I use the machine. Agreed, the total run time will always exceed the usage time. My question really was about the obvious discrepancy between the machines report on the screen versus my computation and the report on the card.JimW159 wrote: Example: start session at 11:30 PM - end session at 7:00 AM - I compute this as 7 hours 30 minutes...

resmeds don't have time zones, they just allow you to set the clock directly.Tino2You wrote:Just a shot in the dark, but is there a time zone setting in your machine? Is there another setting for local DME time?
