"Events Per Hr"

Post by tommie1 » Thu Sep 22, 2016 8:08 am

Just on my 2nd day of using, still finding my way. The machine says 1.2 events per hr. My sleep study shows that I stop breathing 24.7 times an hour. So is my machine telling me that I now stop breathing 1.2 times an hour with the mask on? Thanks.

Yes - it's working. But as I'm sure you know, it will only keep working if you use the machine... if you stop, your apneas will increase again. Apnea doesn't get 'cured', only treated as an ongoing condition, like diabetes.

Yes. It is reporting what it can't prevent from happening. It doesn't report what it actually prevented.
An average of 1.2 time per hour is a huge improvement over 24 per hour.
