Good DME in CT?

Post by atab » Tue Sep 20, 2016 12:17 pm

Does someone know of a good DME is Connecticut, preferably in New Haven, North Haven area? My doctor prescribed a new CPAP for me and sent the prescription directly to J&L Medical. I am having a hard time dealing with them.
Thanks

Try this website. It's for medicare, but private insurance will probably use the same DMEs.

J&L are hard to deal with but so is anything that begins with A or L. You don't say who your insurance is with and that normally dictates who you can use. So start with your insurance. If they will let you deal with Health Complex in Waterbury ask for Laura (RT).

Then there is always Verus (mail order), Craigslist, cpap dot com, or postings on this forum.

If D.H.'s link does not work, use mine.
It is in blue text at the bottom of this post.
You still need to contact your insurance for a list of network providers.

Thank you for the URLs and advice. I will contact insurance and see who they work with.

The doctors office sent the prescription directly to J&L. The reason may be that they work with Connecticare (insurance), which is widely used here. I have a different insurance. J&L, apart from being difficult to communicate with, is far away from where we live.
