CMS-50E Connection Problem
Have not used my CMS 50E O2 recording sensor for several months. Started up the SpO2 software, hooked up the USB connection, turned on the sensor, and clicked on the connection icon. Received a message, On Device Found. Anyone have this problem? Would appreciate any assistance offered.

Rechargable batteries like to croak if you ignore them for a long time.

Re: CMS-50E Connection Problem
Is the re-chargeable battery in the CMS-50E replaceable? Don't see an access...Oh yes. The bottom cover comes off. Battery has a circuit board attached and leads that solder into another circuit board. Hummmm Anyone replace these before? This unit was only used 20 or so times. Then let sit for 6 months...

Re: CMS-50E Connection Problem
I know, I know! You have to use the usb cable that comes with the instrument. Don't know what it is, but that is the only one that works.

Re: CMS-50E Connection Problem
it's because it's not a usb cable, it's got a microchip in it that converts plain serial to usb signals.. unfortunately, it *LOOKS* like a usb, and that confuses lots of people.herefishy wrote:I know, I know! If I can't find the correct one, where can I buy a new one? I have a gray one. its long and currently plugged into the charger. I'll look to see if it has an oversize USB end.
