I recently went on a 1 night trip and forgot my mask. The first symptom that came back before I was fully asleep was the pre sleep snore that would put me back to a semi alert state. Later, Abt 2 hrs and every 2hrs, the Nocturia was back. There was no restorative sleep. I might have been better without even trying to sleep for one night.
What a nice reminder of why I need ALL of my equipment.
I am partly glad that I did forget it. I had a taste of old me before treatment and know the immediate consequences of not having it!

remember, cpap is like glasses, if you don't wear 'em, you don't get the benefit of clear sight.

Re: Renewed appreciation for my APAP
I've had a couple of those nights where I fell asleep before I put the mask on. No nocturia but a hell of a headache the next morning and the feeling that I had been run over by a truck. So now I put the book back down well before I feel too sleepy, no more "just one more chapter.
