Thanks to the apnea board, I found out about this site that does machine, mask, and accessory reviews:

Very interesting... thanks, 49er. The mask reviews that I read really go into depth.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

While most of the reviews looked good with useful information and details, I was disappointed with how lenient he was on the So Clean. Comments can be posted as replies to the reviews on that site.

For the most part, these sanitisers are capitalising on users fear of germs. However, such a device might be worthwhile considering if you are immunocompromised, or really do appreciate the comforting feeling that everything is hospital grade clean. In addition, these devices may be suitable for sleep labs, or for sanitizing trial masks between patients.
Does it do what it advertises?

Yes, the SoClean 2 machine cleans 99.9% of germs. After all, its a sanitizer; that’s what they do.

Would I buy one for myself?

To be blunt; no. I just dont find that that bit of extra convenience is worth the investment. For some people, it is. I’m quite happy cleaning my CPAP mask and equipment in dishwashing liquid and water. If you maintain a regular cleaning schedule, you shouldn’t need to. However, there is some use to it if you are really bad at keeping your mask and CPAP equipment clean, and you don’t mind having this unit sitting on your bedside table as well.

Probably fear of litigation.
You CAN be sued for telling the TRUTH.
The plaintiff does not need to WIN to hurt you.
This is what counter-suits are for.
Not everyone had the assets to fight that chit.
