I have been using my REMstar 1005792 for several years and I take great care of the parts.
I have been having bouts with fatigue and drowsiness lately and my neurologist suggests that my CPAP machine may need to be "Checked" to make sure it is working correctly.
Where can I go to have this done?
Serial number is H1591854
Model # is 1005792
My experience with CPAP stores is that they are a store and they have very little knowledge of the products. In the past I have gotten three different answers to the same question from three separate CPAP ''Ëxperts''.
I live in Downers Grove, IL. Dupage County, Illinois
Where is the nearest facility that can actually check the system to assure the settings are correct?
Do I need to have my REMstar Model 1005792 tested

You can check the pressure yourself with a manometer.
You can either buy one or make one. If you search the forum for DIY manometers there are some threads talking about how to make your own.
Using the manometer to verify pressure is about all a DME store can do.
Now there are places that work on these older machines and can check things out further but in all honesty it is going to cost more to do the checking than the machine is worth.
acbio.com is one such place but you would have to send the machine to them.
This model number REMstar 1005792 appears to be for the humidifier for the old Legacy series machine.
Discontinued somewhere around 2007.
