Newbie needs help with sleepyhead software

Post by Jbird » Wed Sep 07, 2016 10:58 am

I'm sorry. I haven't taken the time to read the forums for newbies, which I will. But I did get the sleepyhead software loaded and am looking at my data and says your AHI was 10.16 last night, that's horrible, and to see your doctor. So I wonder if I can change anything before I get in to see the doctor? The last time I went to doctor I had AHI of 6 and 7 and they didn't seem concerned at all. I have been monitoring it on the app called Dreammapper on my phone by bluetooth, but thought sleephead would be better.

Thanks for any help.

ignore the little editorial crap on that page, it's written by someone that doesn't even use the software most of the time, and likes scare tactics.

10 is bad, and we need to see some screenshots, like this https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead/shorganize (read through all three pages of instructions, links at the bottom) and can likely help.

an ahi of 6 or 7 is pretty crappy too, but doctors typically don't care.

I spent the last several hours, printed and studied all the information. I got a screen shot but I'm having a lot of trouble with Imgur. It won't let me register a user name. I tried to do it without registering first. Is there any other way to send a screen shot?

why won't it let you register?

It just keeps saying that user name already taken and I put in quite a few. Thought maybe it was locked up. Gave up.

On a more positive note, I'm really impressed that so many folks on here are willing to help people. Thank you!

there are a lot of users... try adding some numbers to the end of the name, or the middle, to make it even more unique.

I got my Imgur account set up finally. Now the computer is locking up with error message that there is a lock file already present for my user name and can't have two open at one time. I don't know how this happened. It happened last night. So this morning I uninstalled the software and started over. Installed it again and still getting the error message. If I try to go on into daily statistics it says sleepyhead stopped working and internet is going to search for a solution and let me know. I have no choice but to close the program. Since I already removed the software and reloaded it, including booting the computer down for the night, what can I do to get this to work?

rebooting doesn't remove a file, apparently, neither does uninstalling it.
try doing what the message says... if you're not actually running another copy of sleepyhead, just go on and use it.

I'm not running another copy that I know of, and it won't let me continue. Gives me error message sleepy.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

So I get that when I try to go to daily statistics.
