What do you do with old machines?
What do you do with old machines?
I have a old intellapap machine with about 20000 hours on it that I just replaced. I wouldn't sell that to anyone because it probably doesn't have much life left. Do I just throw it away? What do you all do with your replaced machines?

Either keep it for a back-up 'in case', or else call your municipal waste people (whatever they're called there) and ask about recycling facilities for machines.
Re: What do you do with old machines?
If it still works, keep it for backup.

If you don't keep it as a backup, I would probably look for a place where I could donate it.
There are organizations that need medical equipment. Let them know the amount of use and go from there. It kept you alive for years, it can keep someone else alive.

That's a lot of hours but: We often used to send used machines and masks to Pugsy, however now that she's taking an extended break that's all up in the air. She did mention in one of her last posts that she'd like someone else to take over her donating to needy causes function. That said, I don't know if Pugsy's found anybody yet.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Above all, if it is in working condition,
DO NOT DONATE TO GOODWILL.
They destroy cpap machines, ostensibly to avoid liability.
I would suggest a shelter for the homeless or victims of domestic abuse.

Very few organizations will take CPAPs much less CPAPs with that many hours. They are concerned about liability.
