New development, need help to understand...
Howdy all,
Been on CPAP therapy for two years, just recently been pretty foggy in AM. AHI has been steadily improving over time (I thought) but when I look at data in Sleepyhead my low (average) AHI is "masking" episodes during the night were I have one hypopnea after another in rapid succession. My AHI is plotting as high as 15 during this time.

Re: New development, need help to understand...
Hi - that one little 'moment' in time without any more info re machine type/model, mask, sleep habits, leak data, etc. etc. is not enough on its own to figure much out. It shows what happened at that moment, but nothing else to go on makes it hard to help.

Hi!
Thanks for responding!
Here's a wider view of last evening.

My mask is comfortable but maybe a little leaky?
Best,
Randy

What did SH actually report - the stuff on the left side (ditch the calendar)? There's a gap - did you get up for something? The leaks do look a bit busy, but is that just one night's results and what did SH say about that? Plus - what machine and model and what mask? What settings? We can't do it all for you.
Re: New development, need help to understand...
Sorry, really I'm just learning how to report this correctly. Yes I did get up for a while as I went to bed so early.
Overall AHI is good, but mood and sleepiness is not. I'm just feeling a disconnect from how I feel, and the data on the frontpanel LCD of my CPAP machine.
1.) Respironics EasyLife Nasal CPAP Mask with Headgear
2.) Philips Respironics
System One 560P
RemStar Auto with A-Flex
Mode: APAP 6-16cmH2O
Inclusive screen-cap of from Sleepyhead, minus calendar.

Re: New development, need help to understand...
Have you tried raising your low pressure by 1-2 cms? I don't see any red flags... Have you been tested recently for other problems re thyroid, sugar, hormones, Vit D levels, etc?
Re: New development, need help to understand...
I will try the 2# pressure increase for sure...
Yes I have been treated for Low vitamin D recently, interesting that you should ask!
Stress has been very, very high, with family health emergency.
Best,
R.

Do NOT raise it 2# .... that is way to much ... try 2 cm/H2O instead.
2# is equal to 140.6139156592 cm/H2O
2# is equal to 140.6139156592 cm/H2O
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Ah sorry I meant 2 cm. ... thanks for catching my mistake.
Of course in this context, as I am running my CPAP machine with the automatic features enabled, what we are talking about is starting the ramp at 6 cm., rather than 4 cm. Is that correct?
