AHI of 20 with CPAP

Post by Bcatz3 » Fri Dec 25, 2015 12:22 am

So I just started using my CPAP machine 15 days ago and my pressure is set to 12. This is the first time my ahi has been high usually it at 0 or at 0.5. Does this mean my pressure isn't high enough?

With there being some question as to the centrals in your study, I certainly wouldn't increase the pressure before that has been given thorough attention. Do you know the breakdown of that AHI as to type of events? In your situation, I would want details of my treatment, and would not wait for appointments or call backs. I saw in another thread it was suggested you pursue getting Sleepyhead software to monitor your results. Have you done that yet? If not, I second that motion. Any advice without data, although standard for someone with garden variety OSA, may be wrong for you. Best to be safe.

No one can answer this without seeing some data. Obviously something happened that night.
